Cellist Aristides Rivas is a native of Venezuela and a graduate of El Sistema and the New England Conservatory of Music. He performs in a variety of styles and groups that include the Boston Philharmonic, the Voci Angelica Trio, and the Julian Lage Group (jazz touring band). He also gives solo recitals, chamber music concerts, and performs as a soloist. Aristides teaches at Project STEP, privately, and also holds an Adjunct Faculty position at UMass Lowell.
