B.M. Berklee College of Music in Jazz Trumpet Performance ‘08

About Joe:

Joe earned his Bachelor of Music degree in Trumpet Performance in May 2008 from Berklee College of Music. He has appeared at many jazz venus in New England including Ryles Jazz Club in Cambridge MA, and Chianti Jazz Lounge in Beverly, MA with his quintet and sextet, The Boston Horns, and The Boston Horns Big Band while also playing lead trumpet in the pit for community theatre productions of Guys and Dolls, Oliver, Anything Goes, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, and The Pajama Game. In July 2010, Joe played third trumpet in the musical production of Gypsy at The North Shore Music Theatre Staring Vicki Lewis. He has also performed in New York at Smalls Jazz Club, The Fat Cat, and Cleopatra’s Needle. In the summer of 2009, Joe performed with James Montgomery, Barrence Whitfield, Mark Walker, and Oscar Stegnaro at The Salem Jazz and Soul Festival. He has recorded with many musicians one being Alexandra Hampton on her debut CD release “Soft Metro” under the label Vibe Boutique Records which is available to purchase on iTunes and Amazon.com.

Joe has had the great pleasure to study and work with great musicians including:
Jim Rotondi, Brian Lynch, Jeremy Pelt, Garret Savluk, Rick Hammett, Jay Daly, Tiger Okoshi, Jeff Stout, Lin Biviano, Ken Cervenka, Charles Lewis, and George Garzone.
